About RICKY GRANT: “Born in the tuff streets of Kingston Jamaica July 24th 1949 Ricky Grant grew up among icons such as: Bob (ska B) Marley, Keith ‘Slim’ Smith AKA Brooksie, Gregory (tooth) Issacs & Dennis Brown to name a few.

Ricky joined his first singing group “The Afro Tones” in 1964 with Dellroy Williams & George Allison.  He rose to international prominence as part of the “Gaylads” recording hits such as: “My Jamaican Girl & “Fire & Rain” As a member of Augustus Pablo’s (Horace Swaby) world renown Rockers international Family released his 1st solo Album “Poverty People” & then I Love Rastafari”

To this day Ricky Grant in a true reggae pioneer, still performing, writing & singing, his amazing career now spanning an incredible five decades!”
